About the Foundation
Read All Foundation exists for one reason: to help people read better, understand more, and enjoy reading.
Reading is the skill almost every other skill depends on. A learner who reads carefully can teach themselves a subject, follow an argument, and notice when something does not add up. A learner who struggles with reading spends so much effort decoding sentences that there is little attention left for meaning.
Most of the gap between those two readers is closed by practice with the right kind of feedback. That is what this site provides: real passages worth reading, questions that explain their own answers, and strategies described plainly enough to use straight away.
How we approach it
Real texts, not filler
Every passage is written to be worth reading on its own, whether it is a poem about a seed or an article about mapping the ocean floor.
Explanations over scores
A wrong answer is only useful if you learn why. Each question shows which part of the text supports the answer.
Encouraging levels
Levels describe texts, not people. Readers move between them constantly depending on the subject and the day.
Small daily habits
Ten minutes a day, tracked on your own device with no account, beats an occasional long session.
Free and open
No sign-up, no paywall, no adverts. Anyone with a browser can read every passage on this site.
